Facilities

The fabrication yard houses the following:

• A general fabrication workshop measuring 2184m²
• An exotic metal “clean” workshop measuring 670m²
• A blast bay measuring 240m²
• A paint shop measuring 240m²
• A machine shop measuring 240m²
• A secure store area measuring 240m²
• A 3 floor office and canteen building measuring 370 x 3, 1110m²
• A remote welding gas storage cage

Personnel

In addition to senior management, line management, QA/QC and safety technicians the workforce currently consists of 150 trades personnel.

Equipment

Laser Gulf has comprehensive range of equipment for use in the fabrication and paint shops.

Shop based equipment includes:

• 2 x 10 tonne overhead cranes in the main fabrication shop giving a tandem lift capacity of 20 tonnes.
• Rolling machine capable of rolling plate up to 20mm thick.
• Guillotine with a plate cutting capability of 12mm.
• CNC plate profiling machine capable of handling plates 36m².
• 60 assorted welding machines. SMA, Mig and Tig.
• 2 x 1000 cfm compressors for blasting and painting operations.
• Lathes, milling machines and pedestal drills in the machine shop.
• Hydrotest equipment.
• Standby generator.

Where applicable all equipment is maintained within certification.
