Survey
Assets that have been operating for a long period of time will inevitably require remedial actions due to corrosion, erosion and cyclic stresses amongst other factors.
When Laser Gulf is called upon to engineer a particular solution a surveyor is mobilised with an engineer to the facility in question.
A solution is agreed with the client representative and the engineer advises the surveyor of the data to be collected.
Problems that can be encountered include:
- Lack of access
- Areas extremely congested with pipework and equipment
- Simops where surveys have to be undertaken during meal breaks
- Bed space restrictions where surveys have to be completed in abbreviated time frames.
